Frequently asked questions

How is this program implemented on our campus?

Zainy Beats is a low-lift, campus-supported program that can be facilitated by your existing staff. We provide guided curriculum, training, and ongoing coaching from certified Zainy instructors, making it easy to implement during the school day or as a campus-supported initiative.

Do we need special equipment/Licensing or a dedicated lab?

No. The program runs on existing student devices (Chromebooks or computers) and does not require any specialized equipment or additional setup, keeping implementation simple and cost-effective. Schools will require a SoundTrap School Membership & EMusicElements Yearly Licenses. These costs are built into the program package.

How does this program align with TEKS and school requirements?

Zainy Beats is designed to support TEKS-aligned learning outcomes through music, technology, and creative expression. The program also reinforces skills connected to ELA (writing, storytelling, and communication), technology applications, and college and career readiness standards. Its cross-curricular approach makes it a strong fit for campuses looking to integrate fine arts, STEAM, and digital literacy into engaging, student-centered learning.

Who on our campus would facilitate this program?

The program can be facilitated by a teacher, paraprofessional, or campus staff member—no prior music or technology background required. Zainy provides a complete support system through our Zainy Coaching model, including onboarding training, weekly check-ins, and live support during class time to ensure your facilitator feels confident every step of the way.

In addition, our team supports campuses with implementation guidance, grant reporting alignment, and community engagement opportunities such as student showcases—making it easy to deliver a high-quality program without adding extra burden to your staff.

What does a typical session look like?

Each class follows a clear, structured format that blends guided instruction, independent creation, and group interaction, making it easy for staff to facilitate and engaging for students. Lessons are delivered through Zainy’s streaming micro-lesson platform, which includes short instructional videos, built-in quizzes, digital flashcards, and guided discussion prompts to reinforce learning and keep students actively involved. A typical session includes:

  • 90 minute weekly session for up to 20 students facilitated by school staff or volunteer
  • Micro-lesson video streaming platform introducing the Career Path Focus weekly with class discussion
  • Hands-on creation time where students build their own music projects
  • Group sharing or discussion to reflect and collaborate This structure keeps students engaged while allowing them to learn at their own pace, and ensures facilitators have a clear, step-by-step framework to follow each week.
